Painting

A little about me...

I enjoy painting abstracts as this is the genre that allows anything and everything. With abstracts, the artist is free to choose any color, any shape and any theme. An abstract is interpreted by the viewer, who is free to make any assumption. I like to create pieces that are organic, industrial, political or just folly. Acrylics are my preferred medium, with ink occasionally mixed in. I use a variety of brushes, knives, toothpicks and my fingers to apply the paint. All my pieces are painted on masonite hardboard with minimalistic framing. I am a self taught artist, painting works of this nature since 1990. Although I have some pieces in galleries, I prefer to show at art fairs, where I can have immediate input and reaction from the viewers. The most important part of my art is the reaction from the viewer. To hear a "wow" or "I've never seen anything like that before" is the ulitmate satisfaction. I only show and sell original pieces. I hope to have my work in homes and businesses for folks to enjoy for years to come!
